We discussed outstanding matters from the previous FGB, including the induction process for new governors, and registering governors' details online.
Sam's Headteacher report was discussed. We talked about the number of pupils on roll, safeguarding and safety arrangements when crossing the car park outside the school. Sam took the governors through the Raiseonline and Fisher Family trust data, and we discussed pupil results and progress. It was noted there was nothing in the data that was a cause for any major concerns.
We talked about sports funding, and pupil premium funding arrangements.
We then discussed the school strategic plan and gave approval for the school targets, the plan itself, and the proposed new school vision.
The governors then reviewed the governor qualiy of service questionnaire which had been circulated for their information and input. We also reviewed the input to the governor skills audit, which is being prepared for the next FGB.
The subcommittee reports were discussed. For the resources committee, the budget revision proposals were approved, and the budget confirmed to be on track.
We agreed on a whole governing body training evaluation for January, to review the governance across all aspects for the school.
We completed the FGB with a discussion on training, reporting on health and safety, and a review of policies that required revalidation. We also discussed an upcoming opportunity for both Infant and Junior school governing bodies to meet up in the New Year to improve partnership and contacts between the two.
